WINTER SEASON

TEE-TIMES Are Required Everyday!!

Winter rates will be in effect at the St. Clair Shores Country Club from October 12, 2009 through April 11, 2010, inclusive.  Winter rates are good for “all-day” greens fees and golf cars and apply to both weekdays and weekends. The winter rates are as follows: 

    ****Senior Rates are in effect only until 12:00 noon Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

*****Remember to call ahead for tee-times.

Senior rates are in effect Monday-Friday, before 12:00 noon only and apply to those individuals who are 62 years of age and older.

Over the course of the last five years, we have experimented with winter golf.  Weather and course conditions were monitored closely as to the potential for damage to the turf.  We have found that there is very little damage to the course providing we maintain strict control of when the course is open or closed.

Some rules that must be followed should you decide to play winter golf are:

	If the course is closed, it is closed for a good reason.  Please do not ignore the “Course Closed” signs.
	Replace all divots and ball marks.
	We use a two-hole system for winter golf.  Please move the flagstick to the alternate hole after your group putts out.  This will help spread out the wear more evenly over the green.
	Play from the “winter tee blocks” only.  Do not use the middle of any tee or any other area that is thin and worn out.

If care and common sense are exercised by all, very little damage will occur to the course and we will continue to keep the course open and electric golf cars available throughout the winter, weather permitting. Call (586) 294-2000 for more information.

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

(Please use the west Pro Shop door at the rear of the Clubhouse if you plan to visit the office before 9:00 AM.)

Winter Golf Course Pro Shop hours are:

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday (if the course is open)
